Confidential Waste

Disposing of confidential waste

How you currently dispose of your confidential waste may be placing your businesses and clients at unnecessary risk.

  • If your business does not have a process in place you risk data infringement and becoming a victim of fraud.
  • If you have staff members responsible for shredding confidential information, time and resources are being spent on tasks that may not comply with the required legislation.
  • Internal handling of confidential waste is subject to individual discretion, appropriate handling and dedicated regular time to complete the task.

On site disposal is the most secure method available to your business.

We can provide you with a fully managed on site collection and disposal service that takes care of the process for you.

A quick, efficient and cost effective solution that saves you time and money.

There are many types of confidential waste including commercially sensitive and personal data.

Personal data includes anything that contains an individual’s private information; personnel files, social security and PAYE records, accounts and VAT records, customer information, sales enquiries, banking information, credit card details and personal health information.

Commercially sensitive information includes anything that a is private to a company, such as business plans, company reports, financial data and HR documentation.

Since 2000, all businesses are required to destroy responsibly any personal data in order to comply with the Data Protection Act. Failure to do so could result in fines, a criminal record and even your business being shut down. It could also result in identity theft, expose your current and potential customers to fraud and other criminal acts and severely damage your company’s reputation.
